: My wife and I are both over 50 and have been biking for about 3 years. We started out with the Trek 7300 hybrids and then decided we needed something a little faster to enable us to do longer trips (50-75 miles). Our riding has been limited 99% to bike paths (crushed limestone and paved). Last fall, my wife got a 2007 FX 7.7. It was a great deal because it was a unisex bike, size 15 inch, too small for a man and less attractive to a women since it was not the WD version. I convinced my wife that this bike would be the best way to upgrade to a high end component bike without having to put out mega bucks. When we both rode hybrids, we had no problem staying together. However, when she started riding her new FX, she blew me away. My wife was glad I talked her into the new bike. I ordered a 2009 FX 7.7 for myself and received it Christmas eve. The day after Christmas I took the bike in to get it fitted. I replaced the 700 x28 tires with 700 x 32’s. I also exchanged by Wellgo pedals with Shimano 540’s. Even though the winter months are cold in Pittsburgh, I did get a chance to take my new bike out a few times. The rides were all on paved surfaces. The FX was extremely light in comparison with my 7300 hybrid. Acceleration and climbing efficiency increased significantly. I was amazed at how much faster I could ride. The components on this bike are incredible. It has a Shimano 105 drivetrain with Ultegra derailers. Shifting is very smooth. The bike comes with Bontrager Race wheels and are light as a feather. The light wheels and drivetrain are what make acceleration and climbing seem effortless in comparison with the 7300’s. My wife and I were both able to catch up with a couple of young men on road bikes during one of our rides. I think they were taken back, having been passed by two people 50+ years old on flat bar bikes. I love my new FX and would highly recommend it to a friend who planned on doing lots of riding. My wife and I can’t wait for springtime when we can start riding 3-4 times a week. I’m also looking forward to trying the FX out on some of the bike paths. I’m sure it will be a little more bumpy than the 7300. But that’s OK. We’ll just select paved paths or limestone paths that are better maintained.

: If snowboards went to jail for murder…then lock this thing up cause it kills stuff. This board has a soft/mid flex and a great side cut. Twin-tip shape and flex for those who go both ways. I rode mine centered and 18front, 18rear and couldn’t tell which end was the nose. Great for rails and park jumps with super quick edge to edge response from the channel design. Lots of pop to get over snowfences and mystical creatures. Softest board I’ve ridden in a few years but had more ollie power than shaquille o’neil on a teeter totter with a five year old.Should you get an x8? Heck yes, but only if you want to hit sweet drops in to nose deep pow or slang some peace signs off a tasty jump. The only problem I had was with the EST system. In 50+ days the bolts loosened two or three times. I definitely fell in love with the feel of EST boots, binding combo. Just gotta make sure everythings tight before you strap in.Check out some action shots [@]

: I bought this lens for my Cabinet business, to shoot pics for our website, and show room walls. I read a lot of reviews on this, and a lot of other lenses. The Tokina came with pretty strong reviews as being a great lens. I would have to agree that it is a very good lens, and seeing that is a lot less expensive as some of thte other glass out there, it is a bargain for sure.

: I use this pack about 3-4 times a week. I’ve had it about a year and it has treated me wonderfully. It is a great compliment to my Osprey Aether (attached a picture of it). Gives you that extra needed capacity, or just attach it empty and use it for quick summit or day hikes from your base.I have used this pack for ultralight backpacking trips, although I don’t envision many people doing the same. On those trips I limited myself to a tarp, sleeping bag, my tiny burner, and the other necessities (food, water, etc.). I found it easy to attach to the outside of this pack.As an everyday carry, I often use it for bike rides and general purpose outings. It’s the perfect size to bring some food and cameras and an extra jacket or two for when you are out and about. I keep a survival knife (that has a single LED light and firestarter) on one of the straps at all times. The bungy webbing has proven useful for me. I often toss my sandals there while at the beach, or occasionally hang something from it using an s-biner.The straps have a bit of a curve for your shoulders, which I find very comfortable. It sits the pack a little bit lower and conformed to my back nicely.I would definitely recommend this pack as a nice general use one, but it also makes an especially good dayhike pack. The hydration pouch encourages the use of a bladder, a good addition.Overall, after a year of use I still find myself extremely pleased with this pack.

She tried to talk me into them, I said they are just shoes they can’t be all that! I have to admit that she stopped complaining about her back hurting and she started walking alot. I finally told her to order me a pair. When I would sleep my legs jerked and ached all the time, and I had had a disk repaired in my lower back. Since I got these shoes I sleep soundly and my back doesn’t bother me near as much as it did. I hate to admit it but my wife was right!

: what can i say, i hate to give these guys such a bad rating, but unless you have the feet of an elf, they’re probably no good for you. I was very excited to finally own a pair of vasques, and the specs on these shoes are outstanding for the price. I wore them around a bit, and was excited by the initial fit and comfort. However, after a 3 hour drive to chicago, during which time I had the shoes on but not tied, i began to feel like an 18th century japanese noble woman. I have never ever had a problem with width before, but these guys seem to be built to reduce drag. i am very disappointed. as much as i want these vasque boots, i’m going to have to send them back. i hate giving such an otherwise great boot such a low rating, but vasque’s customer service was not what i had hoped. when i contacted them, they basically told me that it wasn’t their problem. fair enough, but that’s not the way to win over new customers.
: I have relied on Crucial several times to upgrade the RAM in computers I use. They have a thorough web application that makes it easy to identify the right DRAM set to purchase. For instance, they seem to have every Dell computer that has ever been manufactured in their list. Once that is done, the hard part is over. When the new DRAM modules arrive, it’s a five minute job. Modern motherboards have thumb levers to pop the old part out and latch the replacement in. These parts are “keyed” so it’s impossible to fit the module backwards. Reboot your computer and let Microsoft take it from there. Don’t be afraid to try this yourself. Just touch your hands to something that is grounded to dissipate any static charge before handling the Crucial DRAM modules. Crucial makes it easy to upgrade your computer!

: I love these shoes. I was disappointed to discover that it is not legal for me to marry them in the state of Georgia, or they would have made an honest woman of me by now. I get compliments on them absolutely every time I’ve worn them, and they have a way of making me feel like a rock star.

I was so excited to get them that I didn’t break them in before wearing them the first time, and I did get some blisters, but the second wearing and after gave me none. The peep-toes are not at all uncomfortable, as have been some other peep-toe shoes I’ve had in the past. My right foot is the bigger of the two, and the right shoe feels a little tight across the toes, but I have no problems wearing them for a full workday as long as I’m not on my feet for 8 hours at a time.

Overall: while not appropriate for running a marathon, these are the sexiest shoes I have ever worn, and I love them.
